Articles on soulful psychology and finding meaning, purpose and agancy in times of crisis…
Why Authenticity Matters
As we make our way through early life, each of us develops a ‘survival personality’ that adapts to our environment by creating defence mechanisms and compensation strategies that ensure our needs get met by those around us. The thing is, these adaptations often cause us to come out of relationship with ourselves…
What is Psychosynthesis?
PSYCHOSYNTHESIS is an integrative, holistic and depth psychology that offers frameworks for working with the whole human being, including our spiritual and soulful dimensions...
Self-Authorship in the Age of Distraction
In a world so full of demands and distractions, it’s easy to find ourselves feeling disconnected, disempowered and confused. The world is noisier than it’s ever been - and not just to our ears - everywhere we look we’re confronted by things designed to grab our attention.
What is Soulful Leadership?
At it's core, the crisis we are facing is existential, calling us to reflect on what it means to be human. And such a vast question cannot be answered with the mind alone because meaning is also the terrain of the heart and soul…
The Appetites of the Soul
I believe the soul has four fundamental appetites - Truth, Beauty, Freedom & Love. And that the pursuit of these deep and abiding values is at the core of what it means to be human.
Crisis, Catalyst, Chrysalis
The transpersonal perspective recognises what many traditional leadership approaches miss: crisis is not merely a problem to be solved but a catalyst for profound transformation.
Soulful Leadership Manifesto
It seems to me that the way we are being ‘led’ is missing a vital dimension - attendance to and appreciation for core the human values of truth, beauty, freedom & love. For, if we are not being led towards that which is most sacred, most meaningful, most deep & abiding in life, then we are being led astray.
Beauty & The Sacred
Beauty touches us somewhere deep inside, and what ravishes our senses tells the story of our love affair with life. Indeed, the experience of beauty is intimate and sacred. And to share what we find beautiful is to commune at the level of soul.
The Three Questions
Connecting to soul essence is the cornerstone of the work I do because once you feel connected to your essence, it becomes quite clear what you need to do... dilemmas that involve ‘wrong headed’ assumptions of what 'should' and 'shouldn’t' be done fall away when we are aligned to our soul purpose.
Practising Presence
Sometimes, when the conditions are right, and open hearts meet, the world can open up and that thing beyond can be glimpsed, felt, remembered. In these moments we can feel our hearts beating harder, our lungs breathing deeper, we may gasp, sigh or cry in recognition that there is SO MUCH MORE.
